The Checkertails Organization was formed in 2010 to protect, preserve,
and promote the history of the WW II 325th Fighter Group, known as the
Checkertail Clan. Over the past five years we have hosted annual
reunions for the veterans, developed a web page, helped to erect a
monument in Lesina Italy, promoted two original full-length
documentaries, and connected thousands of people to share the history
and stories of these amazing men and their service. Although the
veterans are no longer able to gather as they did for over 60 years, we
would like to continue to grow and connect their families, supporters,
and future generations with our heroes for years to come. We propose to
use the funds collected in this campaign to assist in the promotion of a
third documentary, expand the website to become interactive and include
a way for Checkertails around the world to submit digital historical
images of original photos, documents, and memorabilia. We would
like to develop a line of merchandise for sale which will help to
sustain our effort. At this time, we rely solely on donations for this
organization and value every amount that is raised for our cause. There
